Please note: the duration of the activities (start and end dates) must be informed in the letter provided by the Brazilian institution to which the applicant will be linked. If the activity is due to last more than 90 days, a Temporary Visa (VITEM IV - Study or VITEM IV - Internship) must be requested.
Length of stay in Brazil
Validity period: limit date / deadline for the first entry in Brazil to take place – counted from the date of issue of the visa.
In general, up to one year. By reciprocity, it can be it can be of 3, 5 or 10 years. For Lebanese citizen, it can be up to three years.
Duration of stay: period during which the individual is allowed to remain in Brazil – counted from the date of first entry in the country.
Up to 90 days. For some countries, by reciprocity, it can be of up to 30 or 60 days, as indicated in the visa requirements table.
Extension of stay: extensions are not automatic and must be requested at the Federal Police before the end of the first granted period.

BLS International Service charge: Any applicant applying at the Brazil visa application Centre shall be levied a service charge of USD 14 (inclusive of tax) payable in cash.

Extract of criminal record (dated less than three months) from all countries where the applicant has resided in the last 12 months, translated into English, French, or Portuguese (for applicants aged 18 years or above). In Lebanon, the criminal record can be obtained through the Internal Security Forces (ISF). |

After the form is concluded:
Please note that the application form completed (to be filled out on-line) is valid for one month only; if you come to Brazil Visa application Center office to submit your application after that period it will be necessary to complete (fill out) another form.
Minors under 18 years traveling to Brazil must have the application signed by both parents in front of the Consular Authority. If one of the parents is out of Lebanon, he/she must provide the original of a written authorization, notarized by the Lebanese Consulate of the country he/she is in.
Non-residents in Lebanon can apply for a tourist visa, provided they fulfill the above mentioned requirements.
It is recommended that Brazilian citizen, even if he/she has another nationality, presents his/her Brazilian passport when entering or leaving Brazil.
The entry visa, in any case, is an expectation of right. The entrance of foreign citizens and permanence in Brazil may be prohibited by decision of the Ministry of Justice and enforced by the Federal Police.
